Energy bars without dates
You know that feeling: You've been on your feet all day and suddenly you get a little hungry? Or do you even feel your blood sugar plummeting? Especially if you still want to perform, you should definitely eat something. In the supermarket, there are countless energy bars that supposedly give you the energy you need with supposedly good ingredients. However, they often rely on sugar in various forms as a binding and sweetening agent. Online recipes, on the other hand, mostly use dates – but these oriental fruits are also bursting with sugar. We've therefore developed a basic recipe for energy bars without dates and without added sugar, which can be customized to your liking. Triple Energy Bar with Protein Powder and Oatmeal We've come up with three delicious flavors for the basic recipe. Two of them are even vegan: Almond white chocolate with white chocolate drops Cocoa with hot chocolate Peanut chocolate with dark chocolate drops
Instructions
Xucker Syrup
1. First, we need to prepare the Xucker syrup, which serves as the basis for the bars. To do this, boil Xucker Premium and water for 3 to 4 minutes.
Energy Bars (all varieties)
1. For the energy bars, first mix the finely ground oats, protein powder, flaxseed, and salt. (For the cocoa variety, also add the hot chocolate.)
2. Now add the nut butter and Xucker syrup to the dry ingredients.
3. Only now add the whole-grain oats and soy flakes and knead well.
4. Now, depending on the variety, add the other coarse ingredients and mix. (For the almond-white chocolate variety, lightly toast the almonds in a grease-free pan.)
5. Form the dough into a 1 cm thick rectangle on a baking sheet and let it air dry for about an hour. The bars can then be cut.
