Sweet chocolate hummus – high in protein and vegan
Classic hummus is a Middle Eastern specialty made from pureed chickpeas or broad beans, sesame paste, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and spices such as garlic and cumin. It is considered a popular appetizer, usually served with thin pita bread and other appetizers. It is a national dish, especially in Lebanon, the Palestinian Territories, Israel, and Syria, but is widely eaten throughout the Middle East. Hummus with a twist Have you ever tried sweet hummus? We love sweet treats and were keen to try this recipe. Our sweet chocolate hummus is particularly high in protein and provides good fiber thanks to the chickpeas used. Our recipe has a deliciously chocolatey flavor and is perfect as a healthy spread, dip, or topping on waffles and pancakes.
