Vegan pumpkin spice waffles
Pumpkin spice recipes are now everywhere. The pumpkin spice latte is at the very top. Today, we're making vegan pumpkin spice waffles to match. Completely without added sugar and without animal products. Vegan pumpkin spice waffles without added sugar For the pumpkin spice seasoning, simply mix cinnamon, ginger powder, ground cloves powder, allspice, and cardamom (use a little more cinnamon and ginger, and less ground cloves if desired). Tip: Don't feel like cooking a pumpkin? Just buy a jar of pumpkin puree in the baby food section of the supermarket or drugstore.
Instructions
1. Dice and weigh 300g of Hokkaido pumpkin. Simmer in a small saucepan with 100ml of water for about 7-10 minutes, or until tender.
2. Puree the soft pumpkin with the vegan milk alternative.
3. Now stir in the applesauce and rapeseed oil, continuing to use the blender if necessary to create a smooth cream. Stir in the sugar and salt.
4. Mix all dry ingredients in a separate bowl and add to the pumpkin cream. Mix until smooth and supple. Let it rest briefly.
5. Heat the waffle iron, lightly grease it, and bake the waffles one at a time.
Tip: The finished pumpkin waffles taste especially good with plum jam.
