Apple Fritters with Vanillexucker
Apfelküchlein are a true classic of quick cooking – golden brown on the outside, fruity and juicy on the inside. This simple Apfelküchlein recipe is perfect even for baking beginners and uses no refined sugar. Instead, Vanillexucker (with real Bourbon vanilla) provides a natural flavor that harmonizes perfectly with the fruity aroma of the apples.

Instructions
- Wash the apples, peel them, remove the core, and cut into thin rings (about 0.5 cm thick).
- Mix the flour, semolina, and cream of tartar baking powder in a bowl.
- Add the low-fat quark, milk, and eggs. Whisk everything together with a balloon whisk until you have a smooth batter.
- Heat a pan with a little butter over medium heat. Dip the apple rings individually into the prepared batter until well coated, then fry them in the pan. Carefully turn several times, and if needed, add a bit more batter with a spoon to the apple rings if it doesn't stick properly.
- Sprinkle some Vanillexucker over the still-warm apple rings and enjoy warm.
