Sweet galette with cherries
Making small, healthy cakes yourself is so easy! Xylitol instead of sugar and wholemeal flour instead of white flour are half the battle to make a recipe more wholesome. Bake a galette with cherries without added sugar Here is our recipe for a sweet galette with sour cherries - of course without added sugar.
Instructions
1. For the sweet galette with cherries, first knead the flour, Xucker, butter and ice water into a smooth shortcrust pastry. Form into a ball and place in the fridge for about half an hour.
2. Preheat the oven to 200 °C top and bottom heat. Roll out the dough on a piece of baking paper until it is about 5 mm thin.
3. First spread the circle with ricotta or the grainy cream cheese and then spread the jar of cherry fruit spread on top. Leave a border about 2 cm wide.
4. Now fold the edges inwards using the baking paper so that the filling cannot run out. Now you can garnish with more fresh or frozen cherries and berries of your choice.
5. Bake for about 30 minutes, making sure that the galette does not get too dark. While still warm, the sweet galette with cherries tastes wonderful with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
