Instructions

  1. Wash the red currants thoroughly, remove the stems, and bring them to a boil in a pot with a splash of water and the lemon juice.
  2. Once the juice has been thoroughly extracted from the berries, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve.
  3. Then, measure out approximately 750 ml of the juice and boil it with the gelling sugar for 4-5 minutes, allowing it to bubble vigorously.
  4. Pour the still-liquid hot red currant jelly into sterilized jars, seal them tightly, and immediately turn them upside down.
