Yeast dumplings with butter and poppy seeds
Yeast dumplings are a real winter hit. They are particularly popular in the ski hut after a long descent. Instructions
1. For the yeast dumplings with butter and poppy seeds, first weigh the flour in a mixing bowl and press a well in the middle.
2. Heat the milk, dissolve the yeast in it and pour it into the well. Add the Xucker, salt, butter and egg and knead the dough first with a hand mixer and then with your hands. Now it has to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
3. The dough should now have roughly doubled in size and can be processed further. Knead it well again with your hands and divide it into 4 parts.
4. Flatten the dough pieces individually and fill each with a teaspoon of plum jam (instructions in the video below). Now the yeast dumplings have to rise again in a warm place for 30 minutes.
5. Then bring some water to the boil in a large pot, carefully place two yeast dumplings in a steamer and cook over low to medium heat with the lid closed for 20-25 minutes.
6. Serve the yeast dumplings warm with butter and poppy seeds and sprinkle with erythritol powder to taste.
